5.5 Fresh and waste water systems
Your boat can be equipped with a fresh water system and a waste water system. Depending on your choice of equipment, the waste water system can consist of separate grey water and black water systems.
1 | Fresh water shower and control panel | 6 | Water heater (access from the aft cabin) |
2 | Fresh water tap and sink | 7 | Black water discharge outlet |
3 | Grey water discharge outlet | 8 | Toilet and toilet compartment control panel |
4 | Fresh water tap and sink in wet bar | 9 | Fresh water tap, sink and bidet shower in toilet compartment |
5 | Fresh water filling inlet | 10 | Fresh water shower in the toilet compartment |
The fresh, grey and black water systems have each their own plumbing and tanks.
The fresh water system provides water to the shower on the bathing platform, to the shower and bidet shower in the toilet compartment, and to the taps in the wet bar and in the toilet compartment.
The water heater provides hot water. It operates on shore power only.
The grey water system collects waste water from the shower in the toilet compartment as well as from the sinks in the toilet compartment and wet bar. In addition, the grey water system collects the condensation water from the optional air conditioning equipment.
The grey water runs from the sinks to the holding tanks below the sinks, and from the toilet compartment shower to the holding tank under the front cabin stairs.
Use the Grey water pump button on the toilet compartment control panel to pump the grey water from the holding tanks to the separate grey water tank. Use the pump regularly to ensure the grey water system works properly.
The black water system collects the waste water from the toilet.
The toilet operates with electricity or manually, depending on your choice of equipment. The electrical toilet uses fresh water for flushing, and the manual toilet uses sea water or lake water for flushing.
